In Love

Beatriz Gerenstein participated in the 56th Venice Biennale collateral exhibition, “Personal Structures,” from May 8 to November 22, 2015.  This exhibition was organized by the European Cultural Centre and the Global Art Affairs Foundation and held at Palazzo Mora, Venice, Italy.

The Concept

This sculpture represents the idea that divine energy is always the Third Partner present in every relationship, be it a romantic engagement, a business partnership, or a social contract. Since ancient times humanity has recognised the influence of energies beyond its control in all human endeavours. Some recognise it as divine intervention and others call it luck. Whatever name you give it,  Beatriz Geresntein pays homage to this energy mediating human relationships in this work.

The Sculpture
