My Story

Beatriz Gerenstein was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and currently lives and works in Miami, United States.

Upon discovering three-dimensional art, she became entirely captivated by sculpture, which transformed her artistic journey.

In a world plagued by wars, selfishness, violence, and environmental threats, Beatriz Gerenstein focuses on the human condition, exploring themes such as love, friendship, anguish, joy, pain, and spirituality.

Gerenstein values the interaction with exhibition visitors, cherishing their reactions and the emotions her sculptures evoke when they connect with her aesthetic message.

The strength, beauty, and social significance of her sculptures have led to participation in prominent art events globally. Her work has been showcased extensively in Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Seoul, and Taiwan.

A notable commission saw Gerenstein create a monumental bronze sculpture, "Harmony," in Pudong, Shanghai. Standing 23 feet high and weighing 5 tons, it depicts a tree whose branches transform into human figures dancing in celebration of life, transcending race, religion, and social status.

Gerenstein has participated in the IX Florence Biennial, the 12th Havana Biennial, the 15th and 16th Venice Architecture Biennale, and numerous exhibitions across the USA, Europe, and Mexico. She has also exhibited with the European Cultural Center during the 56th, 57th, and 58th Art Venice Biennale.

In January 2020, Beatriz Gerenstein held a successful solo exhibition at the Museo de la Quadreria in Bologna, Italy. Her contemporary sculptures offered a harmonious yet striking contrast to the museum's classical 16th and 17th-century paintings, drawing hundreds of visitors just before the COVID-19 pandemic emerged in northern Italy.
