Taste of the Future
This itinerant exhibition was organized by the DuchArtist group. This collective invited to participate in this project to some of the artists in the exhibition “Personal Structures” during the 56th Venice Biennale. The artists were asked to create a sculpture that would fit in a “pizza box” and was related to the concept of “Taste the Future”. More than 30 dedicated artworks were shown in USA and Europe in several important venues.
Beatriz Gerenstein accepted the challenge with a touch of humor.
She got a pizza box and put inside a bird nest (made with wild herbs) and three “eggs”. Then she patinated two eggs in orange, a color associated with the Dutch Royal Family and the third one in light blue, the national color of Argentina, the country of birth of Gerenstein and, of course, of Máxima, the Queen of the Netherlands.
What could be more related to the future than a nest with eggs?
