Taste of the Future
This itinerant exhibition, organized by the DuchArtist group, featured contributions from artists who participated in the “Personal Structures” exhibition during the 56th Venice Biennale. These artists were challenged to create a sculpture that could fit in a "pizza box" and relate to the concept of "Taste the Future." Over 30 unique artworks were showcased across prominent venues in the USA and Europe.
Beatriz Gerenstein embraced this challenge with a touch of humor. She placed a bird's nest made of wild herbs inside a pizza box, along with three “eggs.” Two eggs were patinated in orange, symbolizing the Dutch Royal Family, and the third in light blue, representing Argentina, Gerenstein’s birthplace and home to Queen Máxima of the Netherlands.
What could be more emblematic of the future than a nest with eggs?
